Today we left Hahn River crossing and travelled through the rest of Lakefield National Park to Old Laura. Old Laura is an historic station. It is here that we said farewell to the PCOA crew who were heading to Cairns - had the adventure of a lifetime with them. Josh and I then travelled along battlecamp road (named due to a battle that occurred between the indigenous people and white settlers). Battlecamp road ends at Cooktown. We had a quick stop for alcohol, fuel and food and then continued back to the Lions Den Hotel and onto the bloomfield track which ends at the Daintree/Cape Tribulation. Quite a steep drive however very scenic as it winds through rainforest - was beautiful. We made it through the track and to Noah Beach where we will spend the next three days. Our camp is like being in a rainforest yet we are only a 20 metre walk to the beach - all information indicates that there are no stingers or crocs at this beach - a green light to swim!
