Hey, Geting a taxi from Mumbai airport was a right b@!$ch. Theres no prepaid taxi booth so we thought we had haggled quite a good deal and got into a taxi. the guy asked to see our money and then tried to take it from us! WE said not a chance sunshine and he expelled us from his cab! We then were told by a group of other drivers that the fare was 12GBP! we laughed and they looked annoyed... we clearly were not new comers to this part of the world! Event...

So for the last day in Goa Tom lost his scooter v-plates as we whizzed around South Goa on some.....scooters. Everything was going really well, We stopped off at a great big desserted beach, had a swim and saw some local architecture. However, Whilst I acknowledge that the speedometer and fuel gage didnt work, i may have been slightly too trustworthy when the scooter owner assured me that our fuel would last all day! Hi everyone, So we've met up with Tom. He seemed as chocked as we first were when we first arrived in Delhi. He'd spent the day on a cycle rickshaw looking at all the wonderful and weird stuff you'll see in Delhi. But after only one day he was pretty fed up with the pollution and so were we. We were quite relived we had a flight to Goa the next day. In Goa, we decided to spend one night in Panaji to explore Old Goa the following morning. before sunset...

Cotinued form previuos journal... next day we got up at 3.30 o go to Tigre Hill - the sunise viewpoint for Katchenjunga mountain, the 3rd highest in the world. Suprise surprise we were the first to arrive. Having hung around for 1/2 an hour at 8500 feet we were frezing our nipples off! Unfortunately it wsa a wee bit foggy so couldnt see too much of the mountain so we went straight back to Darjeeling to see the highest zoo in the world! Saw a huge black Tieta...

After not washing our clothes for far too long we thought we better do something about it! so in the morning - without assessing the situation thoroughly - we got to work washing some essential items in the sink, squeezed them out and hung them to dry. After a shower in the evening i thought id be so happy to put on some clean underwear only to find they were just as wet as when id hung them up!
