Singapores airport rules!!!! It's always voted the best in the world - and rightfully so. Its got free internet everywhere, a pool, gardens, cinema, mini golf, loads of orchids and other exotic flowers etc etc and its so clean. We were so glad to get to our hotel and have a shower, we were STINKING!!! we hadnt changed our clothes after sitting in the 35 degree heat for 5 hours watching the glorious cricket. After a 3 hour power nap we headed into town. To be honest, i (Phil) was not expecting much because the last time i was here i got bored, although i never really explored. after today i think it could become my new favourite country/city. Its not busy, theres no pollution or rubbish, its ultra ultra ultra modern, compact but not cramped - a mecca for shopping, culturally diverse (eg little india, china town etc etc) great food, cheap restaurants, friendly people, historical monuments too, loads of parks and huge sky scrapers. We only spent one day here but theres so much we want to do when we come back in 6 weeks time!
