Melaka is an intriguing little place jam packed with history and culture. The best way to see the town is by a trishaw. This consists of lazy Westerners sitting down whilst a very old man nearly kills himself trying to pedal. Ours was an excellent tour guide and knew all the hot spots and we saw millions of temples and a museum ran by one woman who made us sit in her lounge and look at her family albums. We just smiled and tried to be polite. After 3 hours I reminded Aidan that this was going to cost us a lot. Aidan thought the quote was for the whole trip, not per hour. So we said our farewells pretty promptly!
Held a giant yellow snake just for the heck of it.
It was Valentine's Day whilst we were in Melaka. We had a lovely dinner in an Indoneisan restaurant. Aidan loved it because they would just bring you food and you had to say 'Yes' or 'No'.
We were incredibly naughty in Melaka and had a McDonalds, oops!
Another thunderstorm, Aidan insisted on watching from the roof terrace.
Katie.
