We were ready for another day of acting like big kids! With our new roles as adrenaline junkies we arrived at Australia's biggest theme/water park - Dreamworld!
It was far from this.... After one ride, both holding in vomit we asked ourselves the question.... "Do we even like theme parks?!" We persisted with the children's rides and then opted for the water park to calm the sickness. This worked until we went on the 'The Wedgie'! Who in their right minds would go on a ride that you start off standing up in, have to take all jewellery off, you have to brace your neck with your hands, has a count down to blast off and where the floor then disappears from below you, dropping you to a vertical descent! That's right... US!
With temporary whiplash, skin missing from our backs and elbows we waited for or jewellery to follow us in a little bag before having a few minute sit down to recover!
After the waterpark closing we headed to face the BIG rides -
- Buzz Saw (Matt has rated this his worst ride ever!) A ride that SLOWLY takes you upside down!
- Moto GP (it's always a good idea to watch a ride before getting on it! We didn't realise the speed so on acceleration we accidentally clipped one too far into the harness making us unable to breathe!)
- The Tower of Terror! We had put this ride off all day! A high speed and backwards to an extreme height kind of ride! This turned out to be our favorite ride of the day!!
The joys of not having a job allows us to attend theme parks with only a limited number of people and wait times always less than 10 minutes! BONUS! The ticket was valid for 7 days but with our new found negative love of rides one day was plenty! Obviously.... We are now more about the extreme rush than little theme park rides!! ;-)
