I left Alva Beach in a rush after the diving because of my lift to Townsville taking me instead of the bus, due to the diving being pushed back and managed to forget my food, towel and bikini. Later, whilst travelling on Magnetic Island, I found I'd also lost my phone.

After spending a night on the island I went to a wildlife sanctuary on the same site as my hostel. I held a salt water croc, black cockatoo, lizards and of course a koala! All native to Australia. It was great fun. I was just a little frustrated I couldn't spend longer on the island.
