The morning started with a run, it had to include a strava segment and then on to a geocache which was situated on a headland.The cache was in a wall at the base of a small shrine and proved difficult for us to find but after most of the wall was dismantled Simon eventually found it . After a swim the shoppers went to find the shop in Privic. Jenny, Barbara and Judith were dispatched in the dingy to the quaint traffic free town which had an upstairs supermarket and bread stall which we thought had provided all our needs. We returned to find Duncan making omelettes before we motored to the quay for water. The access to the internet was a distraction whilst filing the water tanks and more shopping was requested by Duncan who never has enough beer on board.
The wind got up as we left the lovely island and we enjoyed the best sailing of the holiday so far.
We found a stop late in the day for the usual swimming and lunch, leftover pasta with Barbara's cake today .There was a some more dramatic rescues of a saucepan when the handle fell off , bikini bottoms and a dishcloth . We also found that the naturists were in abundance again on the beach near to where we were anchored, not a pretty sight!
We arrived in Rogonznica quite late and picked up a mooring bouy. There were three attempts today The first attempt the boat hook broke giving. another opportunity for Simon to dive to the rescue.The second we found ourselves too close to our neighbours and the third attempt was a bit of a rope tangle saga but hey-ho we got there. We had decided to give the group meal a miss but thought we ought to join in the cocktail party. So we quickly assembled our ingredients and dinghed over to the quay to meet the rest of the flotilla. After drinking lots of cocktails some of the sweaty, salty ladies returned to the boat for a shower . Meanwhile the remaining on shore party were placing bets on how long they would take for the round trip whilst enjoying a beer. The clean ladies returned safely in record time which considering the amount of cocktails that had been consumed was quite an achievement . A good value pizza meal was enjoyed with enough leftovers for Friday's lunch. A walk along the busy quay before we all squeezed into the dingy for the return to our boat.
