We slept well despite the fact that the duvet didn't fit the bed. I was ready to leave when I found that the showers only had cold water, still, my complaints got us upgraded and we now have a large luxury room with a balcony instead of a dark small room. It was a dull and drizzly morning so we didn't rush and lingered in the cosy lounge drinking the free coffee. We walked down to the lake and the forecast of thunderstorms and rain all day didn't come...

We woke to see that overnight there had been a dusting of snow on the mountain tops!An early start today as we are travelling 250km down the iconic Icefields Parkway. This is the most scenic drive in Canada and there are several must see sights on the way so it is a day's trip. Unfortunately the weather seems to have taken a turn for the worse it's very cold and lots of low cloud and rain. We stop at at a couple of scenic waterfalls and the rain dries up....
