Its our 3rd day inRio and are loving it! It feels so good to have an apartment and not living in the 1 room. We have been cooking our own meals for a change which has been luxury! Never thought I´d look forward to cooking our own meals - we can eat what we want and the way we like it.

Our apartment is only a few blocks away from Copacabana beach which is pefect for morning jogs - I´m being serious by the way! We haven´t really done much since arriving... since getting sun burnt in Panama, trying to stay out the sunshine. It feels so good to be in temperatures of 25 degrees.

We have walked along the beach several times and I can´t wait to lie there with a good book in the sun. The sand is the best I have ever seen - white and fine. AJ is gutted he can´t make sandcastles though!

Today we are off to the tourist information office to get some maps and ideas of sights to see. After all we are here for 28 days. Have been looking forward to unpacking and having a home for a month.
