Hello!
Well we arrived safely in Iguassu Falls after a very long 22 hour bus journey and having to sleep vertically which was quite uncomfortable.
Our hotel is luxery compared to staying in hostels. We have a swimming pool which we unfortunately can´t use because it´s freezing, a gym, an eco-nature trail (which we are about to do), room service, buffet dinner every night, buffet breakfast every morning and a games room to play pool. There is an aquamarine park next door which has slides etc, but it´s now closed for the winter.
The weather has been a mix. When we arrived on Thursday I changed into my thermals as it was that cold! Today has been sunny and warm.
We visited Iguassu waterfalls on Friday which is one of the most amazing places we have seen on this trip. We loved it so much we are going again tomorrow, only this time we are going to see the falls from the Argentinian side. You will see the photos when I get round to uploading them - it´s such a beautiful place. We stopped for a very expensive glass (7 quid each) of wine on the top of the waterfalls to take it all in.
We spent yesterday in the hotel playing mini-golf, tennis, pool and attempted to use the gym. The hotel is very quiet at the moment so we basically have everything to ourselves. In the evening we went to a South American show which included a BBQ buffet. The food and show was amazing - well worth a visit.
Today, we went to the point where Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil meet. We then hopped on a bus to take us to a thermal bath and waterpark but it was closed as well :(
We have booked our bus from here to take us to Beaunos Aires. We leave on Tuesday. This time we learnt to pay that little bit extra for a decent bus trip (especially one at 17 hours long). This bus has beds and provides you with meals during your journey. I can´t wait to see what it´s like.
Anyway, we are away to have a beer by the pool we can´t swim in and enjoy the sunshine.
I am hoping to upload the photos when I get to an internet cafe tomorrow. The internet in the hotel costs a fortune!
