Hey folks, Well we have just returned from our trip to Machu Pichu. Our first stop was Cuzco which is 3400 meters above sea level in the Andes. We were on altitude sickness pills just incase we got sick with the height which gave us pins and needles in our hands and feet which was weird. On arrival at the airport, you were greeted with oxygen tanks which you could purchase if you were struggling! Our hotel was nice... found it really tough to climb the 4 fli...

Hello, Well we've now pretty much seen all there is to see of Lima. Caught a taxi into downtown Lima which was an experience in itself! It's ok if you pick the taxi but don't let them pick you! We found a tourist information office and visited the Government Buildings, a beautiful cathedral and spent time in the Plaza's (or parks). Finally arrived in Lima after a day on the plane! First 2 flights were delayed but got here eventually. I don't think I will ever get used to flying 12 hours straight but that was the longest journey we have to do. First impressions, Lima looks a little scary when leaving the airport. Luckily we had a transfer waiting on us. He locked us in his car because he said we may get snatched (or our bags) when in transit which kinda freaked us out at first!!! Beggers c...
