Hello!

We are having a fantastic time in Rio! Although the past few days were raining it is now beautiful blue sky and sunshine.

We have seen a range of things already, including a hen being taken for a walk on a lead down the high street (with a jacket on might I add!), lots of monkeys everywhere and some famous sights which I´ll come onto in a sec.

On the rainy days, we did a bit of shoppíng - can you believe there is a C&A´s here - fantastic! When the sun finally made an appearance, we went up Sugarloaf and yesterday went to the Christ statue. Both with amazing views. We have been out for a few meals - the portions are massive and one meal is enough for two. We visited a place called Urca on the bus (which feels much safer than taking taxis and much cheaper). The sand on Urca beach looked like little bits of gold.

And the monkeys... I thought the last place I would get close to a monkey would be the Amazon but they eat out your hands here and are everywhere.

Anyway, off to the beach today to sunbathe and get some colour. Check out the photos!
