Well, the weather was the same again - wet! We had to be up and checked out by 10 though, so couldn't even just lay in bed. We've got a bus out of here at 4pm back to Auckland.

For the rest of the day we did nothing exciting. We've not had an Internet connection for a couple of days so we went to an Internet cafe to check up on emails, Facebook, Skype etc plus uploaded all our latest photos to Facebook.

There were pretty bad driving rains today. Oh, guess what - a cyclone is in the area and causing strong winds and all the rain. Not going to hit NZ though.

We set off back at 4pm, and after a 3 and a half hour drive with a 30 minute stop, we were back in Auckland. Was hoping it was going to be sunny, but the weather was the same - miserable.

Checked in to YHA International again, dumped our bags in our room and went to make tea. Big kitchen and much the same as the one in Paihia. It's the same hostel we were in a few days ago when were here in Auckland, but we never went to the kitchen. We had our left over chilli from last night but this time made it into wraps with the left over tortilla wraps we still have and threw some salad in too.

We decided to go check out what was on at the cinema as it's cheap night on Tuesdays - $10 (£5) each. We got there at 9.30pm and there were no more films showing.......what!? No more films and it was only 9.30pm! Things don't really open so late in New Zealand I'm told. And we're in the biggest city in New Zealand that has one third of the total population of NZ (about 1.5million). Anyway, we ended up seeing Unstoppable starring Denzel Washington as it only started at 9.20pm and we were there for 9.30pm. Didn't miss any of it and it was a pretty good film.
