Been sorting out our plans for the next few weeks again. I'm glad we did so much planning ahead before we came away because it is way too time consuming doing it on the go.
We managed to get quite a bit sorted out anyway. Only problem now is that the weather is supposed to be ridiculously bad where we should be in about 2 weeks time. Most severe flooding for 40 years or something. Typical.
We went for a walk down to Paddy's Markets. Same old that we've seen all the way through Asia, although nowhere near as good as Asia. Then we had a short walk through China Town. Felt like home.
Then the rain started, so we went back to get some packing done. We leave tomorrow! Our room is an absolute state too. It's awful.
Can't believe we've been here 2 weeks. Longest we've stayed anywhere. It's been really nice in Sydney but we're really looking forward to seeing the east coast (minus the rain).
We did well with the money on food today. We used the rest of our pasta, threw a load of pesto in (one of the items we scavenged) and used the last of our tomatoes with it. It was alright, but gets boring after a short while. Saved some cash though there.
We had to go back out and just sort a couple more things on the Internet - book our buses and research accommodation. Internet is just ridiculous here - $3 (£2) and hour. Doesn't sound much but it's a lot on a backpackers budget and it's so easy to go through an hour doing research. Tried to make some phone calls home too.
We went back to sort out the food we'd bought. Some tinned stuff we packed up to take with us and other bits. Didn't waste much actually, and ended up with a full cool bag of food. Made some more food as we ate last at about 4.30pm. This time we used up some cheese, t-cakes and beans. Strange combo. We're proud of our money saving today though.
Took us a while to get totally packed up and then it was time to get some sleep before our early start and long bus ride tomorrow...
(make sure you change the date at the top to get all the blogs for Sydney!)
