Woke up really late today. We didn't set our alarm and it was 11.30am when we woke up!! Good job we've got plenty of days here.
We'd obviously missed breakfast so went straight out to the shopping mall over the road. Grabbed a quick sandwich at the life saver that is Subway. We like Asian food, but at lunch we really need something western - I could eat an Indian though!
We couldn't resist having a Krispy Kreme donut and a coffee. How could we resist when they are doing special snowman donuts!?
Just outside the mall, there was a big Sony Playstation 3 demo stand. They had the new Playstation Move accessory that's like the Wii. Therese had a go at tennis and had to wear the 3D goggles...she looked a site - got some video of that! Then we both played beach volleyball, which made us both look like muppets, jumping up and down playing volleyball with thin air. Good fun though.
From there we saw lots more shopping malls. Can't believe how many there are all in walking distance of each other. Debenhams and Zara in one of them. The newest one we found was the Pavilion, which had TopShop and La Senza. So many good shops in there and it's huge. Better than anything in the UK, including Trafford Centre and that Westfield in London.
Not that we are actually shopping anyway, just window shopping. We wandered around for a while anyway and soaked in the Christmas atmosphere. Huge Christmas trees all over in this mall as well.
The Pavilion has a really good food court. Lots of cheap little Asian restaurants with a big shared seating area. There's also a......wait for it.......Nando's!! There was loads more on the menu there too. We resisted and ate at the Japanese Tapanyaki restaurant. There's a hot plate along the whole of the bar where you sit and a chef cooks your meal in front of you. I had beef slices in chilli and garlic and Therese had chilli prawns, both with rice ad vegetables. Was really nice and only £3 each! Different eating experience as well and interesting watching the chef.
We decided to go to the cinema tonight!! First time we've been in over two months! That's a long time for me and Therese. We went to see The new Harry Potter. Couldn't believe how cheap it all was. £2.40 per ticket and £1.50 for a sprite and popcorn. It cost 3 or 4 times more for the same in England. Really nice cinema too.
The film was pretty good but was all in Malaysian...no just kidding, it was all in English and just had Malaysian subtitles.

Michelle Aw..you got to the go the flics...thats great. Bet you were both having withdrawl symptoms...and cheap or what!! You need a bank loan to go the pics here. Glad you're able to get the xmas atmosphere aswell so it doesnt feel too weird that you're not at home for it! We've just put our tree up last night and so far so good with Liam, he just wanders up to it, gently touches it and then wanders off! XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
