Day 30! We got up and had breakfast in our hotel before leaving for the airport - the hotel had a waffle maker that made waffles in the shape of Texas, it was incredible! When we got to the airport it was an absolute shambles, with confusing signs and rude unhelpful staff. But we made it on to our flight and to San Diego successfully! We took a bus downtown and found a hotel to drop our bags at, then wandered along the harbour front past all the expensive yachts ...

Day 29! We arrived in Dallas at 6am after the worst bus journey yet. Megabus USA is just far too cold to get any sleep, even with taking sleeping pills! We found a donut place that was open early and got a really good donut for breakfast. Dallas is a very business orientated city with not much in the way of tourist attractions within walking distance anyway, so we struggled a wee bit to fill our morning there. Day 28! We headed downtown first thing this morning and stopped at Denny's for breakfast. They usually are really quick with food but this time they were super slow and we had to throw our pancakes down our throats in 5 minutes so we wouldn't be late for our tour! We had a tour of Graceland booked so we headed to Beale Street to get the bus out there. It was a cool 50s style bus with red leather seats and chrome everywhere, which was pretty cool. Day 27! Really not much to report today. We were feeling a little worse for wear after our night out last night so we just stayed at the motel all day until it was time to leave for our bus. We got the bus to Memphis and arrived at around 9pm, checked into our motel and had an early night. Boring day! L x

Day 26! We headed for the Grand Ole Opry this morning for a tour, as it's 'country musics most famous venue". It was a pretty cool tour of backstage and onstage, Catherine was in her element! There was a mall next to the place so we bought some new going out clothes while it's tax free weekend! Plus we hate all of our clothes after wearing the same stuff for nearly 4 weeks..
