Day 35! We woke up this morning feeling a little worse for wear from drinking last night... We went on a walking tour organised by the hostel up Runyon canyon, which was cool but a little difficult with a hangover in 30+ heat! We got amazing views of the city and the Hollywood hills though. Day 34! We had a terrible start to the morning, because our bus in San Diego drove right past us and didn't stop. And apparently was the only bus of the day. They got a very angry email from me demanding a refund because we then had to spend another $37 on a train ticket to get to LA! Anyway we got the Amtrak to LA, so we can add another mode of transport to our trip. We got the metro to the hostel, which is the nicest hostel ever! Really clean and nice and safe,...

Day 33! We had planned to have another pool day, but it was really cloudy in the morning, so we just went to the jacuzzi for a wee while. We got really good salads for lunch, I am loving all the fresh food in Cali! We went to Fashion Mall after lunch and spent a small fortune, oops! Day 32! We went out to La Jolla this morning to go on a kayaking tour. It was so much fun, but super hard work! I bet we won't be able to move our arms tomorrow. We kayaked out by the cliffs and saw leopard sharks and sea lions and loads of sea birds, it was so cool. We were supposed to go kayaking in the caves but unfortunately the sea was too choppy and we couldn't, which was disappointing! Day 31! Julie and I spent the whole day at the pool at José's apartment, which is amazing!! It has such a great pool, jacuzzi, BBQs at the poolside and an amazing view of the hills. We loved our lazy day. When Jose and his flatmates were finished work we went to Fiesta Island and built a bonfire on the beach. We had a picnic/BBQ with s'mores and everything and watched the sunset and the fireworks display from SeaWorld, it was a pretty amazing night! Short but sw...
