Today our work was slightly different to yesterday - we had to tear down a massive fence at the back of the garden. This involved pulling apart the metal sheeting and pulling it off the fence posts, and removing all of the fence posts out of the ground. It was nice to be outside, after being in the garage all morning yesterday, but it was hard work being in the hot sun.
The 4 hours were soon over, and after lunch we were off to the beach again - could get used to this! We spent a few hours on the lovely beach, but left when it started to get a bit windy.
For tea, Chris had made an Italian beef stew, which we had with garlic bread - yum! Her cooking is really good, and I've offered to cook risotto in a few nights time - I hope it comes up to her standards! Anais and Ambre, the French helpX-ers ate dinner with us tonight, so we had fun trying to explain some English-isms (how do you explain what gravy is to someone who hasn't heard of it??).
After tea, Dave went down to the garage with Paul for some man-time (and to drink some port) while Chris and I sat chatting in the lounge, watching the thunder storm outside. Their poor dog Kelly is still not right…I've got a bad feeling about this…
