Today has been the best day, weather wise - so beautiful and warm! We walked to Waterfront station to get the skytrain to 22nd Street, then a taxi to the auto sales we bought our car from. We sorted the paperwork and were handed the keys to our lovely Ford Escape! We're very pleased with it - it drives well. We stopped by at a nearby Walmart to buy a satnav to take us home - so we are now equipped for our road trip to Jasper on 28th!
We got home around 4pm, quickly made some tortellini for an early dinner then walked to Rogers Arena to watch Vancouver Canucks vs Chicago Blackhawks ice hockey game! It was great! Such a cool atmosphere (literally) - we went along sporting our Canucks t-shirts! It's really fun to watch, definitely would go again! (Vancouver Canucks won too, which was a bonus!)
After the game finished around 10pm, we walked back to the apartment - our first evening walk through the city at night. It looks pretty; all the shops with their lit up displays, big illuminated signposts, pretty fairy lights in the trees, glowing water fountains and quirky street lighting make it unique. Back at the apartment, tired after a busy time - time to settle down for bed!

Green Kayleigh Sounds amazing! I had forgotten how pretty Vancouver was from that bridge (nicer than New York!). Your car looks good. You must be excited for the drive! Are you going to go to the zoo? The suspension bridge? Have you seen the totems at Stanley Park?
Margaret Ogier all sounds great love from M & J and granny betty
Laura Yeah, the drive back from New Westminster was pretty - along the highway but amazing views. Its exciting but driving around Vancity is not so fun.. When we get onto the quieter highways, it'll be better! Jacob had a sweat on driving for the first time on these busy roads - mainly because of the sun haha but partly because of the tension.. We probably won't go to the zoo - we're going to explore more of Stanley park tomorrow on th way to North Vancouver. No, not yet! xx
