Onto Pucon now with the new group... Pucon was a gorgeous little town with log cabins and open fireplaces! The single travelling girls on the trip were all in a chalet together so we were able to have a home cooked meal on one of the nights... Eating out twice a day can get VERY boring.
Pucon is well know for its adventure activities you can do around the area, most people wanted to fo the tour up the volcano, but we found out that there was no lava to see so no-one went in the end! Mark and a group of others went rafting on the first day, I went on a tour of the area to see parts of the forst, the river (including the rapids that mark rafted down later in the day!) lakes etc etc Pucon is one of the northernmost parts of the lake district, which then leads on into patagonia... It would've been even more beautiful if it had snowed rather than pissed it down like it did for three days!! I then finished the day in more hot springs and had a massage! Mark enjoyed the rafting, but it was much much colder than in ecuador!!
On the other days we went for another bike ride out of town, and also had a trip to go canopying... SO MUCH FUN! A course of zip wires is set up through the forest and you climb up wooden podiums to get to the wires then fly down!! you dont actaully touch the floor of the forest for over an hour, you're just on the podiums and wires!! tought i mite be scared of the heights but it was jus good fun!
Coming to the furthest south points of our trip and im defo glad i bought all the thermal gear and waterproofs.. .coming in handy every day!!
