Uyuni itself was pretty quiet and nothing going on... Basically a place just to stock up on snacks and water for the crossing... The crossing was another one of the AMAZING parts of the trip!! Had been looking forward to it for ages, after seeing the salt flats and atacama desert on planet earth!! HAHA! We set out in four wheel drives with all your clothes food and water for the next three days, with drivers and two chefs... The first day we visit a train grave...

Had to get cabs from sucre to potosi... Had to go in four cabs, three were fine... one other with rob charlotte abi and amy (not us thankfully!!) was the death cab from hell!!! It could barely go more than 10km/h, they kept having to stop to open the hood to stop the car overheating!! a tyre burst and the spare was a motorcycle tyre...! On to sucre... The official capital of Bolivia (not la paz as i thought!!). Began with the dinosaur footprints tour... taken to a small museum with has replicas of the dinosaurs that have been found in and around the area and in south america, then there is a viewing gallery of a shifted tectonic plate that has fossilised dinosaur footprints!! Pretty cool, but you can~t get anywhere near, so cant really tell that they are footprints, can just see tracks across th...

Cochabamba was definitely prettier than La Paz... Arrived early after the night bus and went on an open top bus trip around the city. Saw lots of the sights, but as the commentary was in Spanish we probably missed a bit!! Cochabamba has its own Cristo overlooking the city, which actually is the biggest in South America, bigger than the one in Rio. The long Journey from Puno to La Paz took us round the shores of Lake titikaka, via Copacabana. Massive drop in prices even from Peru (which wasn't very expensive) into bolivia. Food So cheap... Crazy when we had to get out of the bus to cross lake titikaka, we all got in boats, while our buses were driven onto planks of wood and basically punted across the lake to the other side!!
