Onto Pucon now with the new group... Pucon was a gorgeous little town with log cabins and open fireplaces! Santiago was a lovely city and the end of another leg of our trip, said bye to rob, charlotte, christine and hannah and donna, (who we'll miss most!). La Serena was a lovely place... But actaully very little to do. We did a bit of shopping, tried to walk down to the beach, but got lost, ended up in a shopping centre, met amy hannah and donna, and watched HARRY POTTER 5!!! It was amazing timing, and even two days before it was supposed to come out in the UK... Weird... San pedro is a lovely little town, and even though it is in the middle of the desert you can already tell that chile is so much more affluent than Bolivia... Food prices up at least 3x already!! Uyuni itself was pretty quiet and nothing going on... Basically a place just to stock up on snacks and water for the crossing... The crossing was another one of the AMAZING parts of the trip!! Had been looking forward to it for ages, after seeing the salt flats and atacama desert on planet earth!! HAHA!
