La Serena was a lovely place... But actaully very little to do. We did a bit of shopping, tried to walk down to the beach, but got lost, ended up in a shopping centre, met amy hannah and donna, and watched HARRY POTTER 5!!! It was amazing timing, and even two days before it was supposed to come out in the UK... Weird... Loved it and spent the rest of the night explaining to donna the whole harry potter story lines (she hadn't seen or read any others!!) Haha!

Spent an eveing at an astronomical observatory.. which was excellent. Chile has one of the largest amounts of observatories in the world as there is such little light pollution and even restrictions in place on the kinds of lights people can use, especially street lights. Amazingly powerful telescope and we could see loads of constellations and the most impressive thing was seeng saturn with all its rings! Only one night here though whic was good as we were running out of things to do!!
