We drove into Normanton today, it's a place that Burke & Wills travelled to when they went across Australia. When we were there we went a park with a giant crocodile statue. When we read about it, it said a lady crocodile hunter shot it and the statue was based on the measurements, it was 8.63 metres long and really scary, like a real monster. After lunch we went to Karumba a fishing town on the Gulf of Carpenteria and stayed there 2 nights. There was a pool, which is good because you still can't swim in the ocean. We saw wallabies, a tawny frogmouth and a python at the caravan park and heaps of brolgas on the side of the road as we drove in. We watched the sunset over the water and had dinner at the Sunset Tavern, seafood yum! The best thing about the stay there was that Ethan learned how to swim on his own. It was awesome!
