We packed up early this morning and drove all day. We stopped for fuel at a roadhouse called Heart Break hotel. The toilets were called Priscilla and Elvis for girls and boys. We drove to Mataranka pools today, they were so warm heaps better than at Katherine. We had a great swim there, Charlotte could paddle because there was a seat around the edge. We walked along a path surrounded by rainforest and saw a wallaby, it was so beautiful. We also looked at an old homestead Mum said the lady who lived there wrote a book about her life there called We of the Never Never. Then we drove back to Daley Waters and had lunch at the pub. This morning I went with Charlotte and Mum to the hospital to get Charlotte's arm checked and plastered. It took forever, in the end she still didn't get it plastered but they changed it to fibre glass on the back so it's much lighter. We finally left after lunch and drove to Cutta Cutta Caves, we went on a tour there. It was fantastic, so many different formations of stallegmites and stallegmites it was so interesting. This morning we drove out to Katherine river. We took a cruise out to some gorges. In the middle we needed to get out and walk for a little to get another boat for the next section. The cliffs along the river were beautiful, the man said it was all caused by an earthquake and erosion. We saw some freshwater crocodiles, some little ones and one that was about 1.5 metres long. This morning Charlotte went back to hospital because her arm was really swollen. They told her to take her pain relief. Then we drove to Katherine we are staying at a caravan park where you can walk down to hot springs. We walked down to them for a swim, Charlotte got upset because she couldn't swim, but she did have a paddle. We went to the river to look for crocodiles, we didn't see any, but we saw a crocodile trap and the door was shut...
