Last night we had so much rain that when we got up the bottom part of the caravan park was under water and our tent floor was covered with water. After mum and dad packed up we went noodling in town. We stayed at Lightning Ridge for 2 nights the first night we set up and looked around the park, we made friends with some kids staying near us. The park had a pool and camp kitchen and we were staying right near the pool which was quite warm, its solar heated. Today we drove out to Menindee, we went to the town and then looked at the lakes. It was so dry that most of the lakes were nearly empty. Dad drove us out on a red dirt road and we had lunch on the sand, which would be in the water if it was full. Later we drove to Poci Hollow it had water and grass, because it was the last part of the lake system and there is a spill way there that slows the water. On Sunday we went out to Silverton, there we did many things. Like went to the old gaol (jail) where we saw lots of old stuff and prison cells and a tiny exercise yard where the prisoners could only see the sky.
