Last night we had so much rain that when we got up the bottom part of the caravan park was under water and our tent floor was covered with water. After mum and dad packed up we went noodling in town. I found heaps of opals. We decided to stay in a cabin at Dubbo because when we left Lightning Ridge we packed up in the rain so everything was wet. In the morning we went to the Open Range Zoo. It was awesome you drive around the zoo then stop in different places and go look at the animals. My favorite were the giraffes, you could pay to feed them but one family took all the tickets for the day so we missed out. I also loved the rhinos and lions we got to see the babies. There was a baby black rhino and 3 lion cubs, co cute. We had a really great day and at the end we went to the zoo shop Ethan got a slinky and some stretchy frogs, Charlotte got a koala hand puppet and I got a white gibbon soft toy. When we left we drove for a while and stopped to get some food. Mum and Dad decided we might as well drive home because our sleeping bags were still wet. We stopped once for diesel and a toilet stop and got home at abou 1am. I was glad to be home but it got really uncomfortable in the car and we all had whinge.
