05/23/21 We drove a short 28 miles to Elwha Dam RV Park in Port Angeles WA. It is one of our favorite parks yet. Friendly wonderful staff, welcoming people, few rules, close to many places of interest, and vegetable gardens for visitors to pick. The spaces are pretty close to each other but the whole place has a laid back vibe. Sunday's have fresh bread and seafood and Wednesday’s are pizza night from their wood fired oven to share. Everyone but Rosie drove over to Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend, a US Army Coast Guard Artillery Corps base, originally constructed to protect Puget Sound from invasion by sea. It was windy and cold but very interesting. We could see Canada across the water which is as close as we will get this trip. Mike and Rosie had us over for a great spaghetti dinner.
