06/08/21 We drove route 26, route 7, and finally I85 for 129 miles to reach Farewell Bend State Park in Ontario OR, which is on the Snake River (the border between Oregon and Idaho). We will be here for 3 days to give us a chance to explore the area. The drive on route 7 was beautiful albeit still with mountains. Unfortunately Shannon was only slightly calmer on the low dose and the back of the RV did not work either. More options will be needed when we travel again. The campground is large with a variety of sites, some with trees, some with great views, electric and water, most pretty level. We went back to the Pacific time zone when we entered the campground. For dinner, Rosie and Mike made us a wonderful moose stew and we had Patti and Wayne's famous salad. It was in the 80’s when we got here and the wind really picked up in the evening.
