06/14/21 First thanks to all of you who have texted, commented, or called about Shannon. She is happier now that we are on interstate highways that are flatter and have less turns, albeit less scenic for the driver. We are also driving fewer miles each day. She is still anxious but not frantic. We are drugging her on the lowest dose possible and she is back to her normal self when we are at the campgrounds. Only two more mountainous routes in Utah and from Utah to Wyoming. The decision to come home was the right one.
We filled with gas, another 35+ gallons, and only drove 123 miles to Village of the Trees RV Resort on the Snake River in Declo ID. They let us check in an hour early to a campsite in the shade. Note the temperature is 95+. (Good planning on my part to travel this area in the middle of a heat wave, not.) Well run and friendly people with a small store and grill that delivers to your campsite. A cherry shake was very good.
