Hello all, Uyni was the beginning of an amazing trip. The town is pretty much just a starting point for the Salt Flats. There isn't a great deal there but you have to say over night there before you can head out to the Flats...so that is exactly what we did. We had to take two 4X4 trucks to fit us all in. Hello all Our next stop was Potosi...the altitude is a killer. Most of us were in bed the first day...could not breath to save myself and boy does it give me a bad attitude...i am in the worst mood...everyone is trying to keep out of my way which is for the best. The city is rather nice, not all that much to do or see but never the less it is a cute little place. The main attraction is the mines. The conditions in the mines is unbelievable...there are little kids...

Hello all, Our arrival to La Paz was pretty eventful. We were lucky enough to be there on the Inauguration of their new Presidente. It was one of the most moving things i have experienced. All the locals had a hope full look on their faces, their country is so poor and has been ruled by so many corrupt Present es, i hope for their sake this guy is a good one...he seemed ok to me!!! I will say that he has the worst hair do i have seen in a long time...not tha...

Hello all, Bolivia is so different from anywhere i have ever been. Most locals still dress in their traditional dress, which is so colourful. You can tell from the very beginning that it is a very poor country but they all seem to be really happy and friendly. They just all get on with what they have to do, regardless of how manually hard it may be for them...i think most of the kids have full time jobs with their families - i don't think education is a high...
