Kyles worldwide travels
I hope you all enjoyed the New Year...i certainly did.
After a wonderful Christmas in Copacabana Beach I had to pack my bags and say a sad goodbye to all the wonderful people i had meet and head into the city to met up with my tour....In true Kyles fashion, it was a bit of a disaster to start off. I left my passport and plane tickets in the hostel and didn't realise until i got all the way into the city and then had to turn around and go back to collect them...i had the choice to either laugh or cry...i must have looked like a complete nut on the metro cause i decided to laugh at myself!!!
So once i had sorted out my travel docs (Lyn i need you here to look after me!!) i headed back into the city to meet the tour. At first i thought to myself `what have to got myself into`, no one really looked my type but it has turned out really well and i am having a great time. There is about 15 of us..mostly Poms. I have been hanging around Lara, who plays Rugby for the UK girls team, so needless to say she has muscle on top of muscle and a six pack to match...i indeed look like a piece of jelly next to her but i'm coping...hehehe.
The tour headed south to Paraty, which is a small sea side village, we went on an amazing boat ride which took us to three island with white sandy beaches and crystal blue water...i had managed to get a bit of a tan whilst in Rio so i didn't look like the biggest white beached whale...there are a few poms on the tour so they are defiantly whiter than me....hehehehe.
The next stop was Sau Paulo for New Years Eve. Paulista Plaza was the place to go...so they told us...and boy were they right. There were about 2 million people there dancing, singing and kissing - and you all know i like to do all of the above. It turns out that the Brazilians are very friendly and kiss allot on New Years Eve...we'll as they say `When in Brazil do as they do`!!!! It's all good Pop i haven't taken off with a Brazilian!!! We all danced until about 5am and then went back to the hotel to have a few more drinks...and then had to stop cause we had an early 6 hour coach ride to Curitiba, oh my god did it hurt!!! but it was all good fun and the other have a few great pics of me, pretty much just being me...i will send them asap (i'm having trouble sending pics at this stage but i hope to sort it out soon).
We have now gone over the boarder to Paraguay for a few days. The temp is about 45 here, which is great. I don't think i'll be able to go back to London with that crap weather...
I must be off, i have organised a walking tour for the group (god help the silly poms they put me in charge of most things cause the tour guide is a complete idiot!!!) and it is due to start soon...little do they know i have planed a pub crawl..just kidding i will take them past a few historical buildings...hehehe.
Thanks to everyone for the catch up emails and sms - it really means allot to me.
Take care all and i miss you heaps and heaps.
