The flight as always was pretty uncomfortable, and sitting for 4.5 hours shouldn't be that hard after Asia.. But I still get no sleep.
Before Arriving in Perth we'd been told we wouldn't cope with the weather, supposed to be 30-40 degrees... Well they lied. Was the same temperature as Melbourne and wetter.. Poor danny who flew out from England to come meet us in Perth, wasn't really expecting it to be colder than England and so wet.. So we decided to get the car asap and head north to follow the weather.! Well the grind was on to find a car! For a Grand total of 5 days we went through hundreds of cars trying to find the most practical interns of space, engine size and reliability.. Also cost played a part! I wanted a 4x4, a Honda CR-V, or an X trail, about $4000. I didn't really fancy buying the cheap backpackers car for $900 even if they were dirt cheap. Well we decided on a 1997 Subaru Impreza, 2L 4 cylinder engine. Picked it up Monday morning, and after buying a few bits for the car and camping we were on the road heading north by 2pm chasing the weather. And within 30 minutes we saw a kangaroo:) happy days! Bring on our two week road trip!
