The Gold Coast, also known as surfers paradise, I could see why. A long stretch of sandy beach about 4 miles long with perfect white water waves.! Byron bays definitely a major hippy town.! The small town was full of long haired stoners who as a tradition whip out a few set of drums along the beach at sunset and dance/hop around waving their arms around imitating the waves.. funny sight to see.! Sydney on the whole was largely unimpressive.. we visited the city centre, went to the harbour and got the standard opera house and bridge photos but the city itself didn't really feel like much was going on. We ended up following the happy hour deals along the harbour, bar to bar. But the place felt way too corporate for me.
