Initial 1st impressions of Philippines was that it reminded me of India. It was hot smelly, loud, a lot of homeless people and everyone stares.. Everyone.. Although besides the airport we were the only westerners out when we went to get street food.. However it's pretty cheap! On the first night we managed to get 3 pieces of chicken and rice for 80p.. Can't complain with that. And the beers are the same price as the water.. Dehydration rehydration..!
It's been a little rushed since we got to the Philippines, a 3 hour flight to Manila, waiting in the airport to catch another flight to Cebu, then rushing to Cebu in the morning to catch a 3hr bus down to Oslob for the whale sharks.
