Had to get up at 6.30 this morning for my trip to Cape Reinga, not good :( Anyway got on our bus and tried to get some sleep but it didnt happen cause the bus was so uncomfy and the roads were really bendy! I also was a little bit sick in my mouth, think it must have the wine from last nite and not having eaten anything before i felt! Felt a little bit better when i had something to eat.

It was great getting out a Cape Reinga, got to stand on the most northern tip of New Zealand! You can also see where the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean meet, it looks quite cool cause they r totally different colours and the currents create whirpools where they meet! We then moved on and had lunch on a beautiful beack at the Pacific Ocean side of NZ, even dipped my feet in but it was freezing! After that we went to these giant sand dunes. U could do dune surfing but i must admit i did chicken out cause it was so high up!! Am sure u'll understand when u see the photos! I would mayb have done it it we had started on a smaller one first but never mind it was quite cool to watch!

We then drove the bus to 90 mile beach. Seemed weird to be driving a bus down a beach but it is apparently a registered highway in NZ! The beach isnt actually 90 miles long it just over 60 miles! There is a story behind the name tho. Some people say its cause the Kiwis wanted to beat the Aussies and their 80 mile beach! However it is apparently called that because some guy took his herd down the beach and it took 3 days and he knew they can do 30 miles a day. However as it was sand they travel slower and hense the over estimation.

After leaving the beach we headed home but stopped off for some fish and chips which were well yummy! Think i'll be having an early nite tonight as am so tired. Oh and the bruise on my knee is getting lovely and black, great for shorts!!
