Arrived in Phuket after a HORRIBLE 19 hour journey. We had been warned that you should always add 5 hours onto whatever bus time they tell you in Asia!! We ended up missing a connection because the bus had picked us up late and had to wait 3 hours at 5am for the next one. Needless to say we were not happy bunnies!

We hadnt booked any accomodation in Phuket so we went on a mission to find some somewhere to stay in Phuket town for the night. We ended up finding a REALLY cool place! It was the hotel that was used in the film 'The Beach'. Where Leonardo DI Caprio stayed in the fim befor he goes to the island. In the film its made out to be a complete dive so we were slightly worried. Ended up getting a room for 300baht!!!!!!! Plus it was REALLY nice! Very clean. We had a 1 double and 1 single bed. Went out for a bite to eat and then crashed pretty early that night! Slept SO well aftet that journey! The next morning we got the bus to Patong, which is the tourist spot in Phuket and where me and Catherine stayed for a week the last time i was in Thailand. I wasnt overly fussed on it last time, but its a sight to see i suppose! We walked around for ages trying to find somewhere to stay and eventually found a guesthouse about a bar called 'Marleys' It was really nice and the first time we had had a fridge! (so i got a chance to put all my chocolate which mum had sent over in because it was all just a bit big metled mess.) That night we went out because the boys HAD TO see Bangla Road which is the party strip of Patong! Its MENTAL at night! Lady boys EVERYWERE! They are all SO beautiful tho! They are all dancing in the street and trying to get you into their clubs! CRAZY! The boys bought a hammock and we headed to bed as we were getting picked up at 7am to go to Phi Phi Island....
