Yesterday we went to the Imperial Palace Gardens, we couldn't (as far as we know) get into the actual palace. The gardens were full of trees, no surprises there! and a lot of historic buildings like rest houses and fort type things. Not being a great lover of history it was a bit lost on me but it was quite interesting.
Today we went to Harajuku. We had heard that Sunday was the best day to go, as the local schoolgirls dressup in their Harajuku clothes (which are a bit bizzare) and congregate in Harajuku. We got there and wandered through this little market street. We saw maybe one person dressed unusually. By the time we got to the end up the street we had found some really fancy shops so were a bit confused about what was supposed to be happening. We headed back to the market street and stopped for lunch. This is where decided that my new name is Kimbonara (we were eating Carbonara), and hasn't stopped calling me it since. In the afternoon we did see some more Harajuku girls, but I think we must have missed whatever it was that supposed to have happened. I think it involved a bridge, though I think it was a bit hyped up.
