Kevin and Joannie on tour
We woke late and the whole process of having breakfast and
tidying away takes hours. We hadn’t really decided what to do next so instead
we decided to spend the rest of the day planning so the remaining days did not
drift. With guidebooks in hand we headed off to the shade of the Plaza
restaurant and got to work.
One of the good initiatives by the Chilean government is
that they provide free WiFi in the square.
It’s a bit hit and miss as is the WiFi in the plaza restaurant, possibly
depending on how many people are logging on.
We ordered some drinks and a vegetarian platter to
share. Without sounding like a
spoilsport, one of the annoying things is the buskers. Whilst we were that four sets came and
performed, some really badly and it disturbed the peace there. They do a few
songs and ask for money at your table.
Lots of dogs and sparrows were hustling too but that wasn’t so bad.
Plans laid, we headed back to the campsite and read. We were fascinated by a new couple who had
turned up in a compact 4WD with a tent on its roof.
Dinner was pasta and sauce before an early night with the
intention of getting up earlier tomorrow.
