Kevin and Joannie on tour
With Viviana and her family returned to Rancagua, the compound of houses was very quiet. We decided to do some housekeeping . The evening before we had watched one of the neighbours pull inflatables behind jet skis in the lake. It was about the only time we were aware that others lived nearby.
In the afternoon, we headed south down the Ruta 5 to visit the Spa at Quinamivida. It was a great big complex set in gardens. The entranc e hall had a piano and we walked down covered walkways passed huge dining rooms.
To visit the span was $10,000 – expensive compared with the day before. There was an indoor pool, surrounded by palms and sun beds. There was also WiFi, which was lucky as we had brought the laptop – just in case. The blog was duly caught up on.
Once of the rules of the pool is that you have to wear a bathing cap. As neither of us had one, we were issued with a shower cap to wear when in the pool.
The water was very warm. At one point we were approached by a member of staff and asked if we would like to join the next class. We declined. It was a hydro-gymnastic session, where people were floating on foam tubes, gently moved around the pool and massaged.
We returned home late, as we tried to find an alternative route home and ended up going round in circles. The sun had set by the time we reached home, where we ate the remains of the Christmas dinner.
