Thursday 30th July Battle Last night we were picked up by Stef & Jo and taken out to a pub in East Malling for drinks prior to going to another of Stef's favourite pubs in West Malling for dinner. Thursday 29th July Leeds Castle We headed off to Leeds Castle in Kent but first we went into Maidstone to have a coffee and to post some stuff home - mainly books and souvenirs. Tuesday 28th July pm Left Canterbury and headed for Margate which is on the coast of Kent on the North Sea. Tuesday 28th July We got up and after the usual shaving, showering and getting dressed we went to breakfast. Stef was coming around at 9.00am to give us the what to see and where to go. It was lovely to see him again and we sat and had a chat for an hour and he left us and we got into our car and drove to Canterbury which took about 40 minutes. Monday 27th July London to Maidstone. Today was our morning to leave London. After breakfast we went back up all those stairs to our room to pack our bags. We slid them down the four flights of stairs to the lobby and we checked out and said goodbye to Christiano. Out on to the footpath and we walked our cases up the two blocks to Paddington Station.
