Saturday 5th September - Shopping
Kotor is full of shops and little restaurants for a coffee, beer and lunch mostly eaten at tables outside in the street or courtyard.
We saw lovely "Faberge" eggs that are copies and not the real thing and some are made from duck or goose eggs. They were very intricate and so lovely and locally made.
There were lots of galleries and some lovely art. Wood carvings, woollen garments, lace embroidery, hand painted pottery.
You can't miss the churches inside the walls and there are several dating back to the 12th and 13th centuries.
We climbed up about 60 steps to the city wall but after the wall in Dubrovnik yesterday were not going any further. For €2 you can climb to the Citadel 856m up above the town as there is a long stairway leading up but we gave that a miss.
