Sunday 27th September - Old City Again We had decided to go back up to La Cite as we did not see all of it when we went up there last Thursday. Jannie also wanted to get a couple of things that she had seen and as the town where we had our apartment was closed for the Sunday it really is the only place to go. We hiked over the bridge and up the hill and the sun was getting hotter and all of the way to the Cite it was directly in our eyes.

Sunday 27th September - Coffee and Chat We were up a bit earlier this morning and after breakfast went into our favourite square for morning coffee. Saturday 26th September - Heading for Home We wandered back down the main shopping street, me flopping along and Jannie just had to go into this shop and sort out a jacket that she "Needed or Wanted". Saturday 26th September - By Train to Limoux We went and got onto the correct platform and the railcar was all ready to go so we hopped on board and waited the 5 minutes before it commenced its journey. We crossed over the Midi Canal and out into the countryside. Grapes for as far as you could see and some areas alongside of the railway track were planted on small patches of land. Saturday 26th September - Wasting Time in Carcassonne! Well what to do for the next 90 minutes? We wandered back from the station and watched the canal boats in the harbour basin. Some boats were going through the lock and others tying up to stay for a bit. All of the boats come in stern first and tie up to the quay and are quite tightly packed so they don't swing.
