Monday 14th September - Fish for dinner At the city end of the Quai were these fishmongers selling their fruits de la mer. The fishermen had set up little stalls on square tables about 1.0 x 2.0m with a variety of fish displayed. Monday 14th September - Coffee It was past coffee time and we walked past maybe 50 cafe/restaurants along the Quai and dcide to stop and have a fix. Double espresso was ok but cappuccino was awful and not like we had had in Italy, the land that invented coffee. Monday 14th September - Vieux-Port We started off down in the lift only to find that one of us had forgotten their sunglasses - normally it's me. We walked down to the port level down some stairs and out onto the very wide Quai de Rive Neuve. There were these little trains that were hurrying along the Quai but with no one on them so we suspected that they were getting ready to start the day.

Monday 14th September - Marseilles We woke up to the sound of 3 or 4 church bells ringing away to no tune in particular.
