Wednesday 16th September -.Fort to MuCEM the J4 Next was another longer walking bridge crossing from the Fort to the MuSEM. This modernistic building was opened in 2013 and reminded me of the Beijing Olympic Pool Building. It's this very open mesh exterior that is held in place by long stainless spinnaker poles. Wednesday 16th September - Fort Nicholas We had decided on a cultural afternoon and walked to the end of our street where we were able to cross a bridge to the Fort. This is a modern walking bridge and spans about 60 metres and is high above the street below. Wednesday 16th September - Morning Fishing We had decided to go and get more fresh fish from the mongers down at the end of Vieux-Port but first a coffee. Tuesday 15th September -Vieux-Port The boat trip back went firstly back to Frioul Island to pick up the people who had had lunch and a lot of workers. Tuesday 15th September - Chateau d'If We arrived at the island and the wharf was reminiscent of the wharves on the Cinque Terre, just great blocks of concrete to moor alongside. We got off the boat and wandered up the steep steps to the entrance of the Fort. Once through we had to present our Marseilles Passes to gain free entry.
