Tuesday 22nd September - Lunch in Aigues- Mortes

We went back inside the walls of the town which are 11m high, 2.5. thick and are 1636m in length. There are lots of towers at intervals around the length of the wall and the Tower of Constance is 33m high and on the turret is a light house. It has also been a prison over the years.
You are able to walk the walls but can only go in one direction, the same as at Dubrovnic, which means you have to walk the entire way round once you get started and we didn't feel like it today.

We had lunch of sandwich and coffee. The sandwiches are really long bread rolls filled with a variety of things, so we share.

We paid our parking and had a leisurely drive back to our apartment in Montpellier.
