Tuesday 22nd September - Horses, Cattlemen and Bulls

The boat stopped and tied up to the bank and everyone got off to watch a display of horsemanship and to see the horses and bulls up close.
Everyone crowded along a path above the fields that were just dried mud with no grass and a few weeds spasmodically growing on the surface.
The cowboys on their white horses mad a grande entry and slowly moved down the series of paddocks to round up the 20 or so bulls who were probably thinking "more tourists"?

The bulls were herded into the paddock in front of us and one by one the cowboys who were very skilful ran 4 or 5 bulls past us at good speed.
As I have already said these bulls are not that big but have enormous horns.
he cowboys herded all of the bulls left back passed us and then came back for a round of applause and a flourish of their hats and they moved slowly away.

We reboarde the boat and it was back to Aigues-Mortes by the short route.
