We haven't updated this for a while and can't really remember where we are up to! But think it is about the last few days in Chaing Mai...
We went on a cookery course which was really good fun. First we got taken around the market...which smelt like dead cat and fish and made us really worry about ever eating Thai food again. Then we headed off to the cookery school which was a nice big open plan space with enough room for everyone to have their own hob. We picked 6 dishes to make and all of them went reasonably well. the weirdest one by far was the Thai fruit salad...lovely fruit but then topped off with a suace made from chillies, garlic and fish sauce! umm it tasted okay! We also learnt how to carve some fruits and cook with a big flame (kinda scary!) Met a lot of really nice people though and headed out with them in the eve to some of the bars (and some weird weird clubs that we didnt stay in for long!!)
Next day woke up with a bit of a hangover so didnt really achieve much. The following day we headed to Mae On Caves which were amazing...very big and full of huge Buddhas. Then we headed to some hot springs, unfortunatly they wre full of nasty little children so we didnt actually go in them. Some of the ones were so hot you could buy eggs and boil them in the springs. We found a pool to chill out in in the afternoon, really needed to be in some water after a hot stuffy week in the city.
Transfer bus to the airport in the eve.
