Tried to get our bearings today by walking around town and to get a feel of the place. Our hostel location is fantastic - walking distance from the shops, bars and transportation. Montreal has a European feel, with beautiful buildings. Its a busy and lively city!

We stumbled across a beautiful church "Basilique Cathedrale" translated into Cathedral Basilica, which is a scaled down replica of St.Peter's Basilica in Rome. Inside was beautiful, with a large organ and a stunning reproduction of Romes Baldacchino - which was made by hand from red copper - the detail on all four posts and canopy roof was breath taking.

Made me really want to explore Europe even more so now!
