J: We visited Australia Zoo and took a walk about it. We wanted the guys to see some of the local wildlife, as unbelievably they hadn't seen a Roo yet. We found Roo's, Koalas, Crocs etc but unexpectedly we saw Tasmanian Devils, they are funny little cat/bear looking creatures. They were ravenous for the raw chickens the keeper was feeding them. We also went round the arachnid section and in the Australian Tarantula tank was a tiny baby mouse clearly being the dinner date. Then an English family, from Liverpool, came along. One of them asked me if the mouse was the spider..... I explained and the girls thought it was tragic and wanted to rescue the mouse, I said they could rescue it if they put their hand in!
S: Echo point was next on the agenda. The blue mountains were spectacular to see. The reason they are blue are to do with the eucalyptus leaves vapour. Now James and Yuri have both read 'Three sheets to the wind' and wanted to visit Penrith Panthers club which is the largest sports club in the Southern Hemisphere. Personally I thought we were going to a night club, so I got a little surprise when we rocked up and it was a sports club full of pokies (fruit machines), bars, restaurants and cinema. James and Yuri played on the Black Jack tables and James walked away $45 up, where as I lost all mine lol. That night we stayed in the club's car park and had a comfortable night, and I got to see some of the actually Penrith Panthers train in the morning.
